Our Data Science & Informatics(DSI) department in R&D is lookingfor creative individuals with critical thinking skills to develop robust andinnovative solutions to complex problems. We are seeking a proven Data Warehouse Engineer to unleashthe value of data in ways that create value for our Research partners withinData Science & Informatics group. We are looking for creative individualswho possesses the knowledge to understand complex data and relationships andthe ability to work with large data sets and Big Data to build efficient dataintegration solutions in building and supporting our Data Warehouse platformfor reporting & analytics.

The successful candidate will helpintegrate data from a variety of data sources into Cortevas Research Data Warehouseto support reporting and analytical applications. The candidate will work withthe R&D partners within Data Science & Informatics group in Designingand Developing ETL/ELT processes as well as proper representations of theintegrated data and delivery methods for downstream applications.


       Be a trusted team member and collaborator in theData Science & Informatics team

       Design, develop, own and evolve the data anddata integration processes that power our data warehouse platform.

       Design, Develop and implement on-premise & cloudDW infrastructure.

       Develop and maintain complex Data Ingestion andTransformations for data originating from multiple data sources.

       Contribute to architecture of data integrationsolutions

       Collaborate with teams across DSI to share andacquire development ideas and knowledge.

       Create efficient SQL queries & ETL Mappingsusing Informatica & Python/SQL to analyze data from external applicationsand the data warehouse.

       Evaluate and recommend products that enhance ourcloud BI / DW solution.

       Analyze and resolve user issues reported to theSupport Desk.


Education &Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineeringor related field and 5+ years of experience developing data warehouse solutionsrequired; or equivalent levels of relevant education and experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong written and verbalcommunication skills and have the demonstrated ability to work collaborativelyin a multifunctional team.




This position requires proven experience in data warehousingpractices and concepts as well as proven experience in dimensional andrelational database modeling.

Highly desirable experience includes the following:


  • 2 years of AWS S3, EMR, EC2, Python andLambda experience is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of NearRealtime Data Warehousing principles and implementations.
  • Working knowledge of key RDBMSdatabases like Oracle, Teradata, and other Cloud DW.
  • Strong practical experience with SQLand Database principles.
  • Experience in working with ETL toolsand technologies like Informatica and others.
  • Experience with the Linux operatingsystem is very beneficial.
  • Create Technical Designs and MappingSpecifications.
  • Hands-on experience in QueryOptimization and Performance improvement practices.
  • Experience in Relational andDimensional Data Modeling.
  • Experience with Agile developmentmethodologies.
  • Experience in Data VirtualizationPlatform using tools like Denodo and others is preferred.
  • Communicate well in both oral andwritten form.
