Cargill Friona has an exciting opportunity for a Network Support Tech. Candidate(s) will serve as the "go to" person for all computer, printer, and related hardware and software issues for administrative use and plant system computers. This position communicates daily with plant personnel on any reported PC or network related issues as well as with 3rd party's for certain plant systems.
Principal Accountabilities 60% Serve as the "go to" for all personal computers, printers and related hardware and software issues (admin as well as plant system PC's) as well as maintaining users on all systems (email, XLPL, XLGO, Internet, SAP, iPFS, Wireless Access Points for hand scanners, Wichita Apps and Intranet).
20% Work with Corporate Response Line to resolve issues that are network or PC related. Daily communication with plant personnel on any reported PC or network related issues not immediately resolved.
10% Work with Purchasing Department on the purchase, replacement, maintenance and repair of office equipment
10% Work with Logical Technologies Inc, WTRT and other 3rd party contractors on phone systems and voicemail systems (maintain, enable and disable voicemail systems and users, phone codes and usage reports).
Successful completion of networking IT/PC college courses or equivalent experience.
Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Must possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to take independent action and use good judgment with minimal supervision.
Strong desire to learn about computers and work with users who possess a wide variety of skill levels.
Must be able to work with techs and maintenance personnel within the plant and help on any PC or network related tasks.
Work with TCS third party contractor on generating tickets and following up on tickets already in the system. TCS partnership to insure time clock management, repair and replacements as needed.
Work on Genetec security system and video monitoring systems throughout the facility, schedule and plan any required work in regards to rfid, camera systems, turnstiles as part of the Genetec system.
Post-secondary education degree in computer science or related field.
