A Day in the Life
Responsible for moving edible oil from railcars/trucks to storage tanks per the production schedule. Individual should have a working knowledge of production/rail equipment and safety requirements in a production/manufacturing/rail environment.
Position Details:
Monday - Friday, 2nd shift: (3p-11:30p) with occasional overtime as needed
Hourly pay rate - $25.88
What You'll Be Doing:
Verify tank car or truck load numbers to ensure car placement accuracy based on written or verbal instructions
Sample trucks and railcars for lab analysis
Operate railroad tank car or truck unloading equipment, including pumps and hoses
Monitor product movement to and from storage tanks, coordinating activities with other workers
Coordinate rail switch with the railroad
Record operating data such as products and quantities pumped, gauge readings, and operating times, manually or using computers
Work from height and fall protection required
Actively participate in the company's food safety and quality programs
Additional duties as requested or assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic math skills
Ability to read and understand English with good verbal communication
Must be a team player, collaborative, and results oriented with good problem-solving skills
Ability to work outside regardless of weather conditions required
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift required
Attention to detail is required
