The primary responsibilities of this role, Human Safety, are to: 


  • Be responsible for the management and defense of toxicology dossiers for Environmental Science products;
  • Critically evaluate, interpret, and integrate study results and other information into product development and defense strategies and to address regulatory questions;
  • Contribute technically to innovative testing strategies, experimental programs and toxicology positions to support current and future registrations;
  • Assess strengths and pitfalls of toxicology profiles and positions and advise, Regulatory Affairs, and business on strategies to minimize negative impacts on product registrations;
  • Support industry efforts to influence regulatory policies for toxicology and human safety ensuring that principles of sound science and risk-based decision making are employed;
  • Manage the planning, design and oversee the conduct of toxicology studies ensuring high quality, cost effectiveness and compliance with scientific and regulatory standards in conjunction with external consultants/contractors;
  • Contribute to the development of global human safety positions for Environmental Science products.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor of Science and at least 12 years of experience or Master of Science with at least 10 years of experience or Ph.D. and at least six years of experience, experience in toxicology or related field;
  • Conduct multiple, complex scientific projects, and can prioritize tasks in a frequently changing environment;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Established, effective internal and external networks within the global technical community in toxicology;
  • Recognized strategic thinking and problem solving skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment leading to constructive interactions;
  • Ability to lead internal and external technical teams focused on human safety.
