Shipping & Receiving Tech II- Indianola, IA This is an hourly level position.
Job Summary: This position plays a critical role by performing the shipping and receiving functions at our manufacturing plant. This position will safely operate material handling equipment to perform various warehouse operations: loading, unloading, storing, and retrieving product. This position will also move trailers back and forth between our manufacturing plant and our finished goods warehouse (2 blocks away). A valid Class A CDL is required or the ability to acquire a Class A CDL. Harvest Innovations will provide training on safe operation of tractor and trailer. Hours for this position are 1pm-11:30pm , Monday through Friday. Overtime is required!
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely load, unload, move, and stack product using both a sit down and standup forklift.
Responsible for safe operation of tractor and trailer.
Sampling, weighing, testing, and unloading bulk soybean trucks.
Safely loading bulk soybean oil trucks.
Properly inspect trailers prior to loading and unloading product.
Verify and keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Pick orders with an RF scanner in an efficient and accurate manner.
Receive inbound product in accordance with plant's SOP and GMP.
Properly stage material within designated areas.
Must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Ability to work in team environment and solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to lift, push, pull 50+ lbs. Will also require standing up to 8+ hours, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2-3 years related work experience.
A valid Class A CDL is required or the ability to acquire a Class A CDL.
No more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years.
Relocation assistance is not available with this position.
