Maintenance and Reliability Governance
Maintain Process and Industry Standards and Specifications
Conduct Job Safety Analysis and Job Cycle Checks
Collaborate with the Milling Maintenance and Reliability team, Maintenance crafts and Operations personnel to develop and deploy equipment maintenance strategies which address predominant failure modes.
Enable planning and kitting work management processes following facility minimum requirement and role based workflows.
Incorporate maintenance and reliability best practices into Job Plans (i.e. safety programs, routine safety audits, Reliability Centered Maintenance methodology and Failure Mode Effects Analysis to determine optimum defect elimination strategies).
Responsible for gaining awareness and developing knowledge of the latest innovations, technology, and trends for maintenance and reliability purposes.
Maintain the computerized maintenance management system to enable accurate reporting, root cause analyses and other problem solving methods.
Close out completed work orders (record actuals; hours, parts used etc) and create follow-up work orders.
Build/maintain equipment bill of materials and maintain equipment history records and functional location hierarchy.
Update and maintain equipment files.
Review work order backlog and maintain a healthy number of work orders that are planned, kitted and ready to be scheduled/executed.
In accordance with Milling/plant maintenance and reliability strategies, standards and practices, follow routine work steps to prioritize job plans and work orders.
Scope work orders to estimate cost, labor, materials, equipment and special tool required to complete the job in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Plan future work for the skilled maintenance crafts by creating Quantitative Preventive and Predictive Maintenance plans and assist with the development of lubrication routes in accordance with Milling Equipment Maintenance Strategies.
Initiate and track the procurement of parts, special tools, and rental equipment required by the job plans/work orders and submit requests for non-urgent parts required for future work.
Ensure materials for kitting a job are available prior to scheduling to prevent unnecessary costs and time loss.
Assist with the identification and availability of critical spares and the kitting of jobs as required.
Ensure stock items are maintained in good condition and pro-active measures are taken to preserve the condition of critical spares.
Ensure optimal storage level of stock items are maintained, periodically review reorder points and adjust inventories when equipment is added, removed, or otherwise modified by the Management of Change process.
Requirements: Ideal candidate will be proficient in the above mentioned skill sets. It is preferred that the candidate has a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing setting, has strong troubleshooting and planning ability, is knowledgeable and experienced with cutting and welding, understands industrial electrical systems, and is familiar with PLC systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft applications.
Position Summary: The maintenance planner will be responsible for the application of asset management strategies within the plant, with the goal of providing reliable processes to the business. Activities include the planning required to ensure efficient execution of Maintenance and Reliability practices/programs/processes, proactive maintenance and repair, best practice application, and continuous Improvement strategies.
