Inventory Clerk/Administrative Assistant - Hiawatha, KS
ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is an industry leader in the manufacture of extruded treats and foods for the companion animal market. We are seeking an Inventory Clerk/Administrative Assistant for the Hiawatha, KS facility. Detailed responsibilities for this position include:
  • Review and enter all receiving paperwork and warehouse movements into Oracle daily
  • Review Expected Receipts report and investigate any past open purchase orders, requisitions and inter-org transfers
  • Assist with quarter physical inventories and reconciliations and investigate inventory variances as initiated
  • Enter bag weight gains/losses on inventory, material loss reports (including shrink) as needed
  • Coordinate and manage outside warehouse inventories and reconcile
  • Manage the hourly payroll process for the location
  • Additional administrative functions include: answering phones, greet visitors, sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, file, scan/maintain reports and paperwork, code and send A/P documents, etc.

Requirements for this position include:
  • High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of prior relevant office experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to productively utilize Microsoft Office, prior Oracle experience highly preferred
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, working on the telephone and computer, filing, bending, kneeling and exposure to dust/feed particles
