Facility Maintenance - Forsyth, MO

The Facility Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems and equipment. This role supports a safe, clean, and efficient working environment by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs across the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Attendance is key to performing the job.
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
  • Assist in facility upgrades, renovations, and space planning as needed.
  • Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and place orders when necessary.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response efforts, including snow removal, storm cleanup, and power outages.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer skills for logging work orders and maintenance records.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, comprehend and dictate simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information verbally and physically at different levels of comprehension in one-on-one and group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms.
OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • OSHA certification or knowledge of workplace safety standards.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to be on your feet all day.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergencies or special projects.
