The Commercial Director will lead and oversee all commercial activities within the North African region for Human Nutrition portfolio of ADM. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and ensuring market expansion while aligning with the company's overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the North African food and beverages market, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in commercial management within the Food industry sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement regional commercial strategies that drive sustainable growth and market penetration in North Africa.
Sales Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing teams across multiple countries, ensuring achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
Market Analysis:
Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and new business opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and partners to maximize sales and brand presence.
Budget & Forecasting:
Prepare and manage commercial budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure profitability and cost control.
Product Development & Launch:
Collaborate with product development and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between product offerings and market demand.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all commercial activities comply with local food safety regulations, trade laws, and industry standards in the region.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Work closely with marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 8-10 years of commercial experience in the food industry (B2B specialty food ingredients), with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Proven track record in developing and executing successful commercial strategies in North Africa or similar emerging markets.
Strong understanding of the North African food market, customer behavior, and regulatory environment.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a strong advantage.
Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
