Barge Dispatcher - St Louis, MO

A barge dispatcher is responsible for managing but not limited to the following:

Day to Day harbor dispatching in St. Louis/Cairo
- Responding to calls/emails from local docks on barge deliveries
- Coordinate deliveries as necessary with boat/barge efficiency in mind
- Game planning with harbor tugs on barges that need to be cleared for future deliveries
- Assisting with customer needs/traffic
  - Sending traffic logs
  - Provide timings/availabilities on barge shifts
  - Answer billing inquires
- Assisting with tow building coordination
  - Work with harbor tugs on Northbound and Southbound tow configurations
  - Discussing with traders on commodity needs for export
- Communicating with incoming linehauls
- Ensuring barge topoff/transfer needs are being fulfilled
- Maintaining night orders and ensuring all orders have been completed
- Monitor barge inventory within fleets
- Manage shuttle runs & barge redeliveries throughout the harbor
- Coordinating barge cleaning & repair with operations team
- Assist on harbor tug downtime & planning with operations team
- Harbor billing and invoicing to customers
- Assisting with barge transfer data entries
- Track linehaul turn time data
- Keeping Fleetcom tags up to date
- Communication with internal elevators on barge needs for daily loadings
