JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer with their search for a Trader Assistant. The Trader Assistant will support the commodity trading business unit from an administrative function. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; contract entry and application, accounts payable and receivable, freight processing and brokerage utilizing the accounting software, Agris, and inventory reconciliation.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain ticket application, which includes contract execution and maintenance
- Accurate processing and settlement of commodities
- Managing paperwork including, accurately matching freight bills/weight certificates for further processing
- Handle accounting functions related to trading business including:
-Accounts Receivable
-Accounts Payable
- Communicating with vendors regarding contract status updates, billing issues, and shipment issues
- Entering contracts and contract management
- Processing of freight payables and brokerage associated with commodities
- Ensure both internal and external compliance
