QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- 3 plus years feed mill supervisory experience
- College degree in Ag or Engineering is a plus
- Completion of Kansas State Milling School mini-course is required with in 1 year of employment.
- Commitment to continuous learning
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- High level of detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving
- Strong customer service
- Positive self-motivated individual with organization, communication, and negotiation skills

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer with their search for a Plant Manager for their feed mill. This role will report to the Director of Operations. The plant manager will be responsible for leading and promoting and fostering safety and a team environment. They will ensure systems are in place to efficiently produce high quality feed correctly and on time.

Responsibilities:

- Effectively lead, manage, and be responsible for Feed Mill operations, transportation, maintenance, and customer service Team.
- Lead the team and be responsible for the facility to reach a Safety level of excellence .
- Responsible for timely and effective communication to direct reports, all Facility Team, Formulation Team, Operations Manager, General Manager, Controller, EHS Manager, and other Plant Managers.
- Responsible for FSMA compliance and maintaining Safe Feed/Safe Food certification.
- Oversee Capital Projects including and limited to scope, bid out, calculate returns on investment, get approved, execute timeline and budget.
- Financials create budgets, review monthly results and be able to explain differences to budget.
- Purchasing ensures micro-ingredients are being purchased from the lowest cost supplier.
- Team member development. Responsible for working with the front line supervisors to move individuals through the Tier Program and ensure proper training and development.
