JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description: Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an established Ag Employer with their search for a Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for managing a single grain elevator, taking in 2-3 million bushels throughout the year. Corn and soybeans mainly, minimal amount of wheat.

Responsibilities:

- Maintains positive customer relations at what is typically the first point of contact with the producer
- Manages the full time and seasonal employees in the Operations department. Actions and personal appearance project a favorable image of the company
- Understands grain quality and grain conditioning
- Utilizes best management practices for inventory control
- Responsible for the safe and efficient use of material and machines
- Responsible for maintaining equipment, facilities and other company assets in a safe, neat and professional manner
- Responsible for loading and unloading activities at the elevator
- Performs proper grain grading and blending practices
- Assists in maintaining records and reports necessary to comply with government requirements
- Assists in operational expense control such as people and maintenance cost
- Supports, and complies with all company policies, procedures, goals and objectives
