QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of experience and/or agronomy degree is required. Current CCA certification would be a plus
- Ability to work independently without supervision, but also work as part of a team
- Need ambition, work ethic, and desire for production agriculture while working with various growers and building relationships in the area
- Strong communications and record keeping skills are needed

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking a Field Representative for the Pacific Northwest region working directly with contracted growers of the edible bean market. The person we are searching for will also work with growers on the open market that is not secured under contract. Individual must understand the current bean market, enjoy working with people while soliciting bean volume on both open markets, and adding additional contracts as needed at the direction of your direct supervisor. The candidate will also distribute seed to growers and keep detailed records while compliant with all FBS Food Safety Standards for the entire season from Field Preparation, Planting, Growing, and Harvesting. The individual will travel across the production area to advise, assist, growers with management decisions while also manage scouting and water management for the growers. One will make available advisement for planting, growing, harvest, and trucking of the bean crop. Keep communication with company staff, processor representatives, fertilizer, and chemical representatives as needed. In addition, one needs to keep owner and other key management-level employees, when needed, this while maintaining and working with in company safety program.
