JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Minimum 5 years of Agronomy and Ag experience
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and safety-focused
- Experience using logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions
- Proficiency with computer applications such as spreadsheets as well as smartphone proficiency
- Ability to work extended hours during busy Agronomy season
- Valid State of Montana driver license

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is seeking an Assistant Agronomy Manager for a facility located in North Central Montana. Primary responsibilities will be to help direct, manage, supervise, and coordinate the activities and operations of this agronomy location. This Assistant Manager will maintain a positive and cooperative attitude that promotes teamwork, integrity, honesty, and helpfulness. Additionally, they must embrace and exhibit the philosophy and culture of excellent customer service promoted by this established Ag business. Other duties to include:
- Assisting with staffing decisions
- Promoting, selling, supporting, and implementing a full-service Agronomy Department philosophy with respect to Ag chemicals, fertilizers, seeds, and provided services
- Working closely with Agronomy Location Manager and other management to develop and implement strategic marketing and sales programs
- Assist with competitive market analysis
- Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding product information, merchandise, promotions, and advertisements
- Respond to and initiate necessary sales communication in a timely, effective manner
- Encourage and practice workplace safety and hold personnel accountable to workplace safety procedures

This Assistant Manager will report directly to the Agronomy Location Manager for this facility and will be in training to eventually replace Agronomy Location Manager in future.
