Responsibilities -?How will you help us grow? It matters to us, and it matters to you!

Develop and support high-quality, scalable, and secure data processing pipelines and full-stack web applications using Python, Vue.js, and Angular.

Leverage your deep understanding of design principles and coding practices to craft elegant solutions for R&D.

Keep up with industry best practices and foster a culture of continuous learning to enable application of new technologies and frameworks.

Deploy applications to AWS and Azure clouds by applying DevOps practices including continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing, monitoring, and automation.

As a member of an agile development team, lead and mentor other developers through code reviews to promote high-quality coding standards and design practices.

Qualifications

Key Minimum Qualifications - What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.

6+ years of experience developing high quality, multi-tier applications.

Proficiency in full-stack web application development using industry-standard tools and frameworks including Python, JavaScript, Vue.js, and Angular.

Experience with object-oriented languages and related design patterns and principles.

Experience developing RESTful API Services and leveraging relational databases.

Experience with containerization platforms leveraging linux and targeting cloud platforms.

Experience applying problem-solving skills to application development and troubleshooting.

Professional experience with software engineering tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Jira

Ability to mentor peers on software engineering principles and practices

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Qualifications - Desirable, but not required:

Background or interest in biology, genetics, or agriculture.

Experience with agile development methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum

Experience with C/C++, C#, or similar OO languages
