Responsibilities - What You Will Do:

* Design and execute scientifically-sound experiments towards protein discovery utilizing principles of chromatography and filtration.

* Perform routine tasks of protein extraction from biological samples

* Generate and record data, perform data analysis and author reports.

* Maintain records in Benchling and electronic lab notebook.

* Work in a collaborative team environment to deliver timely results.

QualificationsWhat Skills You Need:

* Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or allied field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree

* Prior research and lab experience necessary

* Understand principles of protein biochemistry, chromatography, bioinformatics pertaining to protein identification

* Hands-on experience with protein purification techniques such as anion exchange chromatography, hydrophobic interaction, size exclusion and tangential flow filtration

* Familiarity with AKTA instruments and Unicorn software

* Team player, with demonstrated written and oral scientific communication skills.

* Experience working with plants, bacteria, fungi is a plus
