Data analysts are responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting data for agricultural organizations. They take large sets of data, identify patterns and develop statistical and mathematical models that help businesses make better decisions. Data analysts must be able to convert complex information into easily understandable ways for diverse audiences.

What education and training is required?
A master's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, agricultural engineering or a related field is required. However, some employers may require a doctoral degree.

Where can I work?
Data analysts work for the government, universities, colleges, food processing facilities, seed companies, and any agriculture companies that compile large amounts of data.
