AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES INC Jobs and Careers

Organization Ag Com is a 5th generation, diversified agricultural company, with family roots that can be traced back to 1904. Presently Ag Com employs over 100 dedicated employees from rural South Central Pennsylvania. Operationally we have 2 locations approximately 10 miles apart. The two locations are comprised of several divisions including: a custom toll feed mill, commodity transload facility, soybean processing plant, grain elevator, flour mill, fertilizer blend plant, custom ag product application and two trucking operations. Because Ag Com is made up of various divisions, it is sometimes difficult to determine if we are a large or small company. Since day to day operations are usually specialized in a specific division, it is easy to feel the personal involvement of working for a smaller company. However, when we combine our efforts and success in those divisions, Ag Com becomes a healthy mid-size corporation. Our versatility and size enables us to meet all the challenges and opportunities that are necessary to afford secured employment for each of our employees. - Deliver over 290,000 tons of finished broiler and turkey feed per year - Deliver over 300,000 tons of ag ingredients per year - Process over 10 million bushels of grain per year - Transport over 2.1 million miles per year - Process and deliver over 750,000 cwt of finished flour - Over 27,000 acres of custom application Culture Ag Com’s corporate culture is the cornerstone that keeps our staff engaged and wanting to do their best each day. As other agricultural companies in the region continue to consolidate and merge together, the challenge for mid-size companies like Ag Com is to be innovative and to remain competitive. It’s not uncommon to see our owners out lending a hand and engaging with staff daily. Ag Com’s management approach provides hands on leadership while allowing staff to think freely, giving them a strong sense of self worth. Our corporate culture and family environment are just a few qualities instilled in all who work at Ag Com. As opportunities present themselves for growth, we look from within to fill those positions. This approach has proven beneficial to our employees and the company. These and many other qualities are what provides success in our organization and have sustained employee retention. Benefits We offer an array of benefits for the full-time employee: competitive wage, healthcare, disability insurance, life insurance, paid time off, dental & vision, 401k, etc. Ag Com’s Ten Guiding Principles: 1.
